At MDMC we love to be involved in outreach, The Bus is one way we are able to do that.

Several years ago, at our Church Annual General Meeting, we were asked to discuss ideas for evangelism and outreach.  There were many ideas for activities to take into Market Drayton and the surrounding villages.  At this point one of the church members suggested that all of these ideas could be linked through using a bus as a literal ‘vehicle’ by which the communities could be reached.

The Bus is our ‘village hall on wheels,’ a multi-purpose space that can provide a hub for various activities.  The downstairs has some bench seating and a kitchen area and upstairs has bench seating and is equipped with a sound system and 50-inch TV that can be used for playing music, showing videos and presentations.

The Bus is equipped with both a generator and electrical hook up points to power activities in need of electricity.  The vehicle also works well as a central hub around which events shelters can be set up for external activities.
